Luke 6:27-38

So many voices in the air today to direct my attention in this direction or that direction that I find myself distracted from the teachings of my savior.

"But I say to you who hear:" v27 the words of Jesus. He makes no commands about mask, vaccines, or critical race theories, only to love, bless, pray for my abusers, turn the other cheek, to give to those who ask, and to treat people like I want to be treated vs 27-30.

My conclusion is if I will "hear" him and do the things he asked, he will take care of me and I will be a "son of the highest" v35.

God is so good. v.38

Take a stand. Luke 6:6-11

"Arise and stand here." Jesus commands a man with a withered hand; "he arose and stood.." Question for me today is how will I respond to Jesus's command? I can do good (obey) or I can do evil and ignore the Creator of the universe. If I desire what is good; and I do, I have to"stretch out my hand" only then will I know Restoration in Christ. Only then will I know what it is like to be made whole.

Even though my old sinful nature May rage; even though men may disapprove; I know what I must do with Jesus. I must hear and do what is good. That seems to be healthy too!

Jesus knows best and he loves you. Preacher Ricky

The day of the Lord 1Thessalonians 5:2....."the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night."

These words remind me to 'be prepared.' sadly I know from experience, that it is too late to prepare for an exam when the exam paper is before you. Paul writes that Christ is going to return and I must be ready when that day arrives. My confidence in the salvation of the Lord is such that if a call comes suddenly from the Lord it will not find me unprepared, and there is no need for it to find anyone unprepared.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today and be saved. Do not leave your eternal business with God undone until the last moment. That may be too late!

As the boy scouts say 'be prepared'!

Don't forget I love you but Jesus loves you more. Preacher Ricky

Follow Him

Luke 5:1-11

".....they forsook all and followed Him."

We Begin here when Jesus asked Peter to surrender a boat he had probably navigated since he was a lad. Peter's first test. Peter surrendered the use of his vessel to Jesus. Then obeyed what seemed to be a foolish request to fish in the brightness of the day only to catch fish like never before. Wow!

Wonder what might happen if I surrender the command of my life and let Jesus be captain? I believe, just like with Peter, Christ will fill the boat of my life to the brim. Christ always does beyond all we ask or thought or deserve.

Perhaps I would be wise to"Thrust out a little,"and begin long voyages and fishing expeditions with Christ!

You can too! Just follow Jesus. He loves us so much.

Romans 12:18 tells us"you won't get along with everybody, but as much as possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceable with all men." How? We must crucify ourselves, "be transformed by the renewing of your mind." ( vs. 2) then verse 3 tells us to be humble. If we are living as "a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which ( btw) is our reasonable service."( vs1). We will be living as Christ did. We can expect no better reception from others than he got, but our life will be one of obedience. The Bible teaches that is better than sacrifice. So let's live as peaceable with each other as possible.

God loves you and I do too. Preacher Ricky

Luke 4:40 "Now when the sun was setting all those who had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hand on every one of them and healed them."

This made me think, when is the last time I brought anyone to Jesus? The world is so full of sick folks and people who need a touch from the Lord. Luke 14:23 tells us"and the Lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be full."

I have but one task to do, obey, bring the lost to the Lord for salvation, bring the sick that they may be healed.

Come with me to the house of the Lord, that it may "be filled".

God loves you so much and I do too. Preacher Ricky

Delivered to serve

Luke 2:73-74

Zacharias declared that God sends man's redemption by his son Jesus Christ. And that God has redeemed us"to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear. In Holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life."

As God's redeemed children; we can live in confidence that God has our back no matter how bad life appears and we are to continue to serve him "without fear", without hesitation, desiring only to bring him glory and honor "all the days of our life."

Zacharias's son John the Baptist was to "go before the face of the Lord to prepare his way." Let it be so for all who believe. Live faithful.

Share Jesus without fear. Preacher Ricky

Considering the effects of God's merciful word

Malachi 4:5-6

So now in verse 6 we see the effects of Mercy when Elijah preaches, and cries out to get ready to meet on the great and terrible day of the Lord, and what happens? "And he will turn the hearts of the father to their children and The hearts of the children turn to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse."V6 God's aim is to spare people from being cursed. That's what we saw in verse 5. But to spare people from being cursed, people must be changed. Specifically it says their hearts must be changed. And even more specifically it says that the disposition towards fathers and children must be changed. It is not just time to make right our relationship with God. God wants us to make right our relationships with one another. Why? It's the answer for why our hearts should turn in every case: Jesus was the ultimate victim. We are the ultimate abusers; our sins nailed him to the cross. And Jesus turns his heart towards you today. This is the meaning. Let's bless God and one another.

God loves you so much. Preacher Ricky

Looking Forward

Malachi 4:5 "behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. "

There is a Day of reckoning ahead for all. On that day God will separate the redeemed from those who eternally perish. But God's judgment will not come without warning from many Messengers and many opportunities for the obedient to repent. The prophet Amos says " seek the Lord and live."

Though many that are evil cheered on that day Christ was put in the grave, Christ will have his day. God raised him from the grave and he will have the last day, his day! And his cause will be totally victorious. And Christ will settle accounts with all who cheered and with all who repent. It is great folly to reject the love of God. Repent today and follow Christ.

God loves you so much and I do too. Preacher Ricky

Malachi 4:4

Here God instructs his children to "Remember the law of Moses." And this passage God is reminding Israel of the holy expectations he has for them. Our memories can often bring us joy. Some memories make us sad. God wants us to remember to be holy. We are often reminded how God has blessed. How God gives direction. How God provides and comforts and gave victory. We are reminded nothing is too hard for God.

Scriptures also remind us God is a god of judgment and justice and he is also merciful.

Joshua wisely instructs"choose today whom you will serve." Remembering all of God's attributes; I choose his Mercy. I choose to follow him and to obey his statutes and judgments and I hope you will too.

God loves you very much. Preacher Ricky

God Expects Perfection.

Matthew 5:43-48

In his sermon Jesus says;"therefore you shall be perfect just as your father in heaven is perfect." v48. How do I achieve perfection? I must be like Jesus'. He has high expectations for his followers. I must be different than unbelievers. Jesus said I am too; "love my enemies, bless those who curse me, do good to those who hate me, and pray for those who spitefully use me and persecute me." All this so that I may be a son of my father in heaven. God has invested so much love in my life.

I must give to him my total devotion. He is worthy!

May all who are called by his name be perfect just like our father in heaven is perfect. God help us.

The wrath of a king is like the roaring of a lion; Whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life. Proverbs 20:2

As I ponder this scripture today I wonder what benefits I have forfeited by my displeasurable, sinful words and deeds before my God, a holy and righteous God?

Daniel 1:8 says that Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's delicacies, and as I read further his devotion made even his appearance more desirable. Makes me wonder why I would ever consider anything that is not pleasing to God.

Holiness is what God desires in me and you and this must also be our desire. Let's live holy! Don't arouse a lion!

Take a Trip With Me

1 John 2:1-6

I like to travel and visit New places, from the beaches, to the mountains. Often when I am somewhere unfamiliar I will make a wrong turn. Immediately my GPS spouts out my error and offers a new direction to accomplish my intended destination. Today as I read I am reminded that I have a God, positioning, service, "walk just as he walked." V6. So often God's holy spirit directs me to make a u-turn to bring me back into a right relationship with God. John tells me "if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. "1 John 1:9.

I pray you will join me and let's follow all of God's directions and stay on track. Proverbs 3:4-6

God bless you. preacher Ricky

What a reputation

2 Kings 18:1-7

It is said of Hezekiah "he did right in the sight of the Lord.." "he trusted in the Lord God of Israel.." "he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him.." oh the fretting I could forfeit if only I would trust in the Lord and do good. I must, today, commit my way to the lord, and trust in him ( Psalms 37). And then perhaps others might see God's desire to bless man; if only we will be faithful.

Love you. Preacher Ricky

Isaiah 5:1-7 "Worthless grapes"

"What more could I have done for my vineyard than I did? Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes, did it yield worthless grapes?"

Makes me wonder; am I fulfilling all of God's expectations? He has provided all that is necessary for me to produce sweetness for him and yet I produce bitter grapes. Will God extend Grace and not destroy my Vine (v.6)? You and I are without excuse. God has saved us when we were without hope. He gave us His holy spirit to produce fruit in our lives (Gal.5:22 - 23). He took away our sin so we are free to serve Him. We have direct access to God through prayer. In Luke chapter 12, Jesus said that to whom much is given much is expected. One day God will hold us accountable for all that He has done for us. When He inspects the fruit of our lives, what will He find?

Let's produce good fruit. Preacher Ricky

"What hope do people without God have when life is cut short?" Job 27:8; msg.

I am reminded today as Job, when it seems like all hope is lost, I must maintain my integrity and faith in God even if he takes my very life. I must believe as my savior Jesus The Christ did, knowing that there is a grave, there is a resurrection, there is a fateful Father. Today is not a bad day so far but I hope when the bad day comes, and they do come, I will be like Job and keep the faith. Hope you will too.

Love you all but Jesus loves you more. Preacher Ricky

"for I know my redeemer lives," Job 19:25

This Job announces right in the middle of grievous loss, affliction and despair. All this and he maintains a holy reverence towards God. "Do not fret-it only causes harm," Psalms 37:8 Paul writes"be anxious for nothing,... Talk to God." Philippians 4:6 Peter writes"casting all your care upon him ( God ), for he cares for you."1 Peter 5:7. If one maintains their relationship with God and does not fret or be anxious and cast all their cares upon God, then he might conclude as Job, "I shall see God," Job 19:26. Let your heart yearn for God as Job did.

Blessed be the name of the Lord Job 1:21

After blessing God with gifts of gratitude for God's goodness towards him, calamity strikes and Job loses all his worldly possessions and even his children he loved so dearly. And what does Job do? He worships God , (v 20). "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will return there. The lord gave and the Lord has taken away: blessed be the name of the Lord."(v21) All his sorrow and lost, he worships God!... I am reminded, God is worthy of my worship.... God is worthy of my reverence.... It is written of Job that "in all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong."

May we likewise Revere and worship God. He is worthy. Amen?

God takes care of his own Psalm 128

v.5: "behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the lord. " This Psalm tells us that all who fear (reverence) the Lord and do what he instructs us to do will be blessed v.1. Question for me today, do I want to be blessed? Yes. Do I want life to go well with my wife and children and grandchildren? Yes, Yes, Yes! Will I Revere God? Will I walk in his ways? My prayer today is that I will Revere God and walk in all His ways and that you will too. Let's choose the blessed life.

Preacher Ricky

Obey the master

Today I am reminded that I am a servant ( slave ) and that for me to find fulfillment in my life I must obey my master. Do what he commands. Luke 17:10 fulfill my masters desires. And only in this will my soul be satisfied."the backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied from above. " Proverbs 14:14

It is also written "a wise son heeds his father's instruction."Proverbs 13:1 I do not have to like what my master commands but my position is to be one of obedience. Only then will my soul know peace and satisfaction.

Let God captivate your heart

Amos 5:4 "for thus says the Lord to the house of Israel; seek me and live; 6. Seek the Lord and live..."just like Israel, I often neglect my creator, the one who has eternally loved me and save me from eternal destruction, for the temporal things of this world. Judgment is for the disobedient and yet God says"seek me and live". I must remind myself of God's goodness and that He chose to have a relationship with me, and allow my heart to be captivated by His love.

God wants to captivate your heart too! Let Him! Preacher Ricky

Isaiah 66:2 "this is the man to whom I will look, he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word." Do we want the face of the Lord to shine upon us? Do we want him to lift up his countenance upon us and smile with warmth and tenderness? The Lord says in this verse, "this is the person upon whom I will smile, the one who trembles at my word." His friendship is for those who fear, and his countenance is for those who tremble. (John Piper)

People of influence

"But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant." Matthew 23:11

As children of God, we ought to be people of influence. Jesus teaches that the best way to influence others is to serve, give care to the children and those without a voice. Wash one another's feet. This is how we can glorify God in our daily lives and how people will be drawn to Christ. It is just doing the works that Jesus did. Let's be people of influence.

Always remember I love you but Jesus loves you more. Preacher Ricky

I am reminded today that there are behavior that' God despises. Proverbs 6: 16-19 "These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren." Let us not allow any of these characteristics to be named among us and if they are let us confess and repent immediately. Let's allow God's word to inspire us to live a godly life. He is worthy.

God loves you and I do too. Preacher Ricky

Luke 19:45-48

"Then he went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it."

Just arriving in Jerusalem and weeping over the state of his people, knowing they would be destroyed because they rejected him for political gain and worldly lust, Jesus began to cleanse the temple. Makes me consider my personal appetite for the things of this world. Why do the temporary things of this world hold such a high value over the eternal things of God? I must find my way out of my thieving and return to God His glory that He is worthy of. Perhaps more time in prayer (v. 46), more time in the presence of Christ teaching. (V. 47). What does Jesus say to you?

Jesus loves you, preacher Ricky

Watch The company you keep

1 Corinthians 5:13 "therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person." I have been taught to, as much as possible, to disassociate myself from negative people. I was told that "association brings about simulation." Clearly God's word teaches us to watch the company we keep. For me to be all that God wants me to be, I must fellowship myself with godly people, people of faith, folks who know God and His word. Only they can feed into me the spiritual nourishment necessary for me to be healthy in my relationship with God and with God's people. Above all maintain a close walk with the lord. James 4:8 tells us "draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh unto you." Let's keep ourselves spiritually healthy and watch the company that we keep.

God loves you and I love you too.  preacher Ricky

1 Peter 4:8 "and above all things have fervent charity among yourselves; for charity shall cover a multitude of sins."

So often my charity is not so fervent and when I look at life of Christ and the passionate intensity he displayed at Calvary in my behalf, I am reminded that I should welcome every opportunity to serve others and be thankful that I have been chosen to display Christ likeness to the world. Two things Christ ask of us: love God wholeheartedly and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Matthew 22:37-40

God loves you and I do too preacher Ricky

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

As Paul encourages the Thessalonians I am also encouraged, knowing that the Lord has my back too. He has promised to "never leave me or forsake me." Hebrews 13:5.

You too can have this confidence, only believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hey, God loves you and I do too. Preacher Ricky

"Serve the Lord!"

Joshua 24:14 Joshua is reminding the children of Israel of the rewards of obedience to the Lord. "Serve him in sincerity and in truth," this reminds me that I'm not to play games with God. He has always done what he said he would do. He is always faithful. And I must be too; "put away the gods which your father's served on the other side of the river and in Egypt"vs.14 My God he is a jealous god. Joshua tells that the choice is mine vs.15 My answer must be like the children of Israel answered: "far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods."vs16. As God did for Israel; He has given me victory, victory over sin, death and the grave and I must also serve the Lord, for "He is our God vs18." For each of us, we must respond as the children of Israel: "the Lord our God we will serve and His voice we will obey vs24." Hey, God loves you so much and I do too. Preacher Ricky.

And Joshua 21: 43-45 we are told "not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass." v.44 God had made a promise to Abraham that he would be a Great Nation and now his descendants are living in the land of promise. Delivered from slavery in Egypt, through the wilderness, God provided for them, he has now defeated all their enemy and now God "gave them rest all around, according to all he had sworn to their fathers." v.44 Just like the children of Israel, I too can trust in the Lord, he has promised to save me from my sin if only I believe on the Lord Jesus christ. Acts 16:31 tells us "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." God's word is true. Won't you repent today and be saved from your sins? I hope so. God loves you so much.

Preacher Ricky

Should all of life's ventures be run by God's counsel first? Joshua 9:14 tells that the children of Israel "did not ask counsel of the Lord." Israel was deceived by their neighbors the Hivites (v.7) it is too often that I think "I've got this" and I act or speak on my own when I should seek counsel with the Lord. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33 "but seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you." How often this would have kept me from a world of hurt. Psalms 24:1 tells us "the Earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof". God has for now, giving me free will. I think the evidence teaches it would be a wise exercise for me to "asked counsel of the lord" in all of life's encounters. After all, I live in his domain and the Lord has my best interest in mind. What do you think? Hey, God loves you and I do too. Preacher Ricky

"but the children of God committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan..... Took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel." Joshua 7:1   In Joshua chapter 7, we read how a greater nation is defeated by a lesser Nation because of the sin of one man. I am reminded today that my  actions affect many, starting with my household, my neighborhood, and perhaps even an entire nation. Israel had sin in the camp that had to be with. One man's disobedience caused the defeat of an entire nation; just like a cancer, the sin had to be removed.   Jesus speaking of sin said "unless you repent you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:5   When sin is revealed I must repent. Sin comes with consequences! "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our lord." Romans 6:23   Let's keep focused on the eternal reward and not the temporal. Obey God completely.   Preacher Ricky

What a mighty God we serve

Joshua 1:5-6 Joshua is about to go and possess the promised Land and God tells Joshua "as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6. Be strong and of good courage." What a promise! What words of encouragement. For 40 years now Joshua has witnessed God's mighty work. Now, after his wilderness experience it is time for the reward. All Joshua has to do is hear God's command and obey completely. v7. "Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go."     Just like Joshua, I have to decide daily to trust and obey. I must v9 "be strong and of good courage. I must not be dismayed, because I believe that the Lord my God is with me wherever I go. If only I believe and do as God instructs.     How wonderful the Lord our God is! Amen. Preacher Ricky

(01/05/21) Fearless Living        Deuteronomy 31:6-8    What a wonderful day it is for the children of God! Just to know that no matter what today may bring, God is in control. The good, the bad, in riches or in distress, health or sickness, life and even in death, God does not change by our circumstances. God cares for me and you, and in Him through His son Jesus we have victory.    Today, be encouraged by his word, to Joshua, Moses said "6. be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you... 8.Do not fear nor be dismayed."    Is that not encouraging?    Jesus tells us; "in the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33    In Jesus I believe I can live fearlessly!    And you can too!    Live fearlessly in Jesus. God loves you. Preacher Ricky

(12/29/20) Life and Death  Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. This is the word of God to the children of Israel. For us today, heaven or hell? Choose heaven (life)! Choose to escape a hell that was never intended for man. How? “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:31 Peter preached “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” Acts 2:21 Then Peter said to them repent…”be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…” Acts 2:38 Please choose life eternal with our God in heaven. Say no to hell. Jesus loves you, Preacher Ricky

(12/17/20) CS Lewis has said “Every faculty you have, your power of thinking or moving your limbs from moment to moment, is given you by God. if you devoted every moment of your whole life exclusively to his service, you could not give him anything that was not in a sense his own already.” The 24th psalm begins with “the Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” The Bible teaches that in the beginning God creates everything and puts Adam in the garden to work and maintain it. It is clear that man was created to work and that work is the stewardship of all of the creation that God has given him. This is the fundamental principle of biblical stewardship. God owns everything, we are just managers acting on his behalf. Let’s work well my dear friends for the glory of God. Preacher Ricky

God's people should act like God's people Deuteronomy 26:17-19 17 "today you have proclaimed the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in his ways and keep his statutes, his commandments, and his judgments, and you will obey his voice." These are God's words to the nation of Israel. To believers in Jesus Christ it might be said; 'call yourself a Christian, live like a Christian.' Obey God's commands, and love one another. Paul tells us "walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16 of Israel God proclaimed Israel to be "His special people" and he blessed them.v18, 19 Paul put it like this for Christians "Walk Worthy of God who have called you into his kingdom and Glory." 1 Thessalonians 2:12 God's peace be with you. Preacher Ricky

(12/03/20) Do not be afraid; God has your back Deuteronomy 20:3 Giving the children of Israel instructions for battle, they were told that when the enemy seemed overwhelming "do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight against your enemies, to save you."v3,4 What an awesome promise to the nation of Israel! But what about us today? After all I know I get overwhelmed, how about you? In such a state let's remember the teaching of Christ "take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?" Jesus goes on and said "your heavenly father knows that you have need of these things. But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. "Matthew 6:31-33 Wow! We can trust God. Will we choose to do so? That is my hope. Pastor Ricky

(11/27/20) Pathway to Blessings Deuteronomy 6: 1-25 In this chapter Moses is instructing the children of Israel how they ought to conduct their lives so that they may know the blessing and prosperity of God. These instructions ought to be taught to the children and talked about "when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up." V.6:7 we have the responsibility to fill ourselves with the waves of God. This pleases God. Let us live our lives in a manner that pleases God. Paul put it this way, "walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16 God has blessed us; let us bless God. Jesus loves you, preacher Ricky

(11/20/20) Remember God Deuteronomy 4:23 Here Moses warns the children of Israel "not to forget the covenant the Lord God had made with them." He warns that God is "a jealous God." V.24 I am reminded here of God's abundant love for his children and also of his judgment. Because I fall so short of being Worthy of his love on my own; I rejoice that "we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous."1 John 2:1. And still I must not allow myself to be drawn in by the idols of the world and I must commit to give to my God my attention and my devotion. After all he is attentive to me and devoted to my well-being, both temporal and eternal. In all that we do: remember God, and live gratefully. God loves you Preacher Ricky

(11/12/20) Remove the things of this world that bind you Before Christians can fully reap the benefits of the Christian Life, we must remove the worldly things that bind us to the old life. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave, Lazarus was "bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth, Jesus said loose him, and let him go. " John 11:44 Our old life is represented by Lazarus grave clothes they were meant for a dead man, binding and stinking, like a man's life apart from Christ. In Christ Jesus we are to "put on the new man." Ephesians 4:24 and live separate from the world. Let's consecrate our lives to God and live in the new life in Christ Jesus. Amen? Love you guys, Jesus loves you more. Preacher Ricky

(11/05/20) Building one another up Deuteronomy 3:28 So God is preparing the children of Israel to take possession of the promised Land and he instructs Moses "command Joshua and encourage him and strengthen him;... Here I find a great model for building up people in my neck of the woods. I must be busy instructing, encouraging and building up the next generation in the way of the Lord. Discipling others is a command of the Lord I must not take lightly. Matthew 28:19 This command Christ gave to all his disciples be encouraging, build up others, and instruct others in the way of the Lord yours God. We can all make a difference. Will you? Preacher Ricky

(10/30/20) Numbers 33: 50-56 We see here it is God who gave Israel the land and if they refuse to do as God instructed them, go in and take possession of the land by driving out the inhabitants and destroying everything that hinted at idolatry. If they don't do that God will. Here is the Crux of the matter for you and I: We are called to take possession of our inheritance: to drive out, put to death the deeds of the flesh. We are to kill and put off the sin which so easily besets us. we are either slaves to our flesh or our flesh is a slave to us. Paul makes this clear in. We must eradicate from our lives all that would tempt us to sin as Israel was to destroy that which was in canaan. If we don't it will dominate us and ruin our lives. Let's identify what sins to deal with, repent of them when you sin, put them to death and replace them with the thinking and actions of righteousness. God bless you Preacher Ricky
